Article continues below Michelle Welsh, MP for Sherwood Forest, said her "thoughts are with those affected by this awful incident" and advised motorists in the area to seek alternative routes of travel. Linby Lane was shut between Moor Road and Wighay Road following the collision, and has since reopened.
