Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono to meet Jaishankar in Delhi Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono has arrived in New Delhi to co-chair the 8th India-Indonesia Joint Commission Meeting with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. "The two Ministers will review the robust Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries and discuss ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation," India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said in a statement. CJP warns of nationwide protests if demands not met within a week After amassing a massive number of protesters at Jantar Mantar yesterday, the Cockroach Janta Party has demanded the removal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan within seven days. "Despite the overwhelming public response, there has still been no resignation and no action from the government. We are therefore giving the government seven days. Either Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan should resign within seven days, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi should dismiss him," the party said in a statement. "If no action is taken within seven days, this movement will spread across the country," it added. This movement began after India's Chief Justice, Surya Kant, reportedly likened young critics of the government to "cockroaches" and "parasites" during a court hearing, sparking outrage among young people. The party is demanding the resignation of Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities. "If we want to reset the education system, it must begin with the removal of the Education Minister. As long as he remains in office, we cannot begin the process of restoring the education system of this country," CJP said. Welcome to our coverage Good morning!
