Young Brit tourists 'sexually assaulted' at Spanish hotel by 'man pretending to work there' Three British women, two of them teenagers, told Spanish cops they had been sexually assaulted by a man at a hotel in Valencia’s Camins al Grau neighbourhood- in one instance he pretended to work there Cops have arrested a man on suspicion of alleged sex attacks on three British holidaymakers including two teenage women at a hotel in Spain. The suspect, a 32-year-old man, is alleged to have pretended to be an employee at the Valencia hotel before targeting victims. Police said they were investigating after an incident just before 2.30am yesterday in which the two Brit girls, aged 18 and 19 arrived in an Uber. The alleged sex offender, believed to be a guest at the hostel, opened the door to them, according to local reports, before tricking them into following him to a bathroom and sexually assaulting them after a struggle. The pair called police who arrested the man, from Tunisia, on suspicion of three separate sex assaults after a third British woman told cops the same man had previously sexually assaulted her on Sunday morning. She said she had been cleaning her teeth in the women's bathroom when the attack happened. The travellers' hostel where the sexual assaults allegedly occurred is located in Valencia’s Camins al Grau neighbourhood and is around a 10-minute drive from the historical city centre. A spokesman for the National Police in Valencia said: “We got a call about 2.30am yesterday morning, June 9, asking us to go to a hostel in the city where a man had apparently sexually assaulted two women. “The alleged victims are three young British women. One of the incidents happened around 1.20am that same morning and the other on Sunday. “The later incident occurred after two British women arrived at the hostel in an Uber and a man opened up the door to them pretending to be a worker at the establishment and told them he would accompany them and took to them to the men’s bathroom where he allegedly sexually assaulted them by touching them on their private parts and bottom. “Those two women fled at some point and took shelter in their rooms and alerted the police. Once officers arrived they located the suspect who was arrested on suspicion of three separate sex assaults. “The third relates to an incident that occurred on Sunday at the same hostel because another young British woman told officers that the same man had targeted her while she was in the women’s bathroom cleaning her teeth. “The arrested man is a 32-year-old Tunisian national. He was handed over to a specialist Violence Against Women court in Valencia yesterday.” It was not immediately clear this afternoon if the suspect had been bailed pending an ongoing criminal probe or remanded to a local prison.
