Boy, 15, and man, 43, remanded over Bobby Bloomfield 'murder' as details emerge The court hearing came four days after 12-year-old Bobby Bloomfield was found with serious injuries following the incident in Pilgrims Hatch, Essex Tragic schoolboy Bobby Bloomfield was struck by a car after being chased off private land, a court heard. A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and William Lunnon, 43, were today remanded in custody charged with murder following an appearance at Chelmsford magistrates court. Bobby, a student at Shenfield High School, died in hospital after being discovered by officers in Pilgrims Hatch, Essex, on Sunday evening, having suffered serious injuries. Prosecutor Rohini Majumdar told the court the victim and his friends were on private property when Lunnon approached them and asked them to leave. It is alleged the boys "ran off", but were subsequently chased by the two defendants in a car. During today's hearing, the 15-year-old defendant wore a quarter-zip jumper and jeans and spoke only to confirm his date of birth and that he understood the matter could only be dealt with at crown court. Lunnon, who was wearing a grey prison tracksuit, spoke only to confirm his age, date of birth and address. They will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing. Police are still continuing to question four other people - two men, aged 65 and 54, and two women, aged 65 and 45 - all from Pilgrims Hatch, who were arrested on Tuesday and remain in custody on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Cops from Essex Police's Serious Crime Directorate are said to be building "a detailed picture" of the circumstances. Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood said: “This remains a complex investigation, and we have made significant progress, including bringing charges and making further arrests. "Our focus remains on establishing the full circumstances and supporting Bobby’s family, who have suffered an unimaginable loss. I continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. "Even the smallest detail could help us build a clear and accurate picture of events. If you were in the area at the time, or have anything that could assist our investigation, please report it via the public portal.” In a heartbreaking statement released on Tuesday, Bobby's relatives said: "Losing a child is every parent's nightmare. We are living that nightmare and no words can ever explain how we are feeling. Bobby brought light and life into all our lives, and we have lost that for ever. The hole he has left can never be filled." Comedian Josh James, who is a cousin of Bobby, also posted a touching tribute online, alongside photos of them together. He wrote: "My beautiful cousin Bobby. We will miss and love you always". In another message, he added: "Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again".
