In an update on Saturday morning, HM Coastguard said it suspended its search at about 21:00 on Friday, "pending any new information". The Coastguard said following an "extensive search" it had suspended its response and was no longer at the scene. It said: "A HM Coastguard helicopter was sent as well as Coastguard rescue teams from Gorleston and Winterton, and Hemsby Inshore Rescue Service. "Following an extensive search, HM Coastguard suspended its response at about 21:00 pending any new information."
