The body of Greg Howes, 44, was found by dive teams searching in the River Yare in Surlingham on the Norfolk Broads on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services first arrived on the scene at 2:33pm on Friday, with searches continuing throughout the night. In a tribute, his family said he was "dearly loved by his family and loved spending time on the Norfolk Broads". "At this sad time, his family would like to urge the public to take care and consider their safety when taking part in activities on the water on the Broads," the statement added. In a Facebook post, Neil Mason said: "Absolutely gutted we won't see you again Greg Howes you are a total legend! It's been a pleasure knowing you for best part of 30 years we've had so many great memories together that will never be forgotten and will be missed dearly RIP mate." Meanwhile on Friday, the friends and family of a teenager who tragically lost his life at a beloved Scottish beauty spot paid tribute to the "lovely boy". The body of Charlie Noble, 16, was recovered from the water at Bracklinn Falls near Callander in Perthshire on Thursday. The alarm was raised at around 6.45pm after police received a report expressing concern for an individual. A search was launched after the child, who has not been named, disappeared in River Wharfe, near the Skipton area. She was found and airlifted to hospital, just after 6.30pm on Sunday, but sadly died. A woman in her 60s became the 16th person to die in a water-related incident while trying to rescue her pet dog from the sea. Lancashire Police said she got into difficulty in the water in Thornton-Cleveleys on Saturday evening and was treated at the scene, but sadly pronounced dead in hospital.
