Weather bureau tips mild winter after near-record warm May

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has predicted a mild winter for Australia, with a 50 per cent chance of above-average temperatures and a 60 per cent chance of above-average rainfall. The BOM's modelling estimates a high chance of unusually high maximum temperatures from south-east Queensland to Tasmania and the west of Western Australia.
