An Empirical Audit of Input Encoders for Multi-Channel Signal Transformers
Announce Type: new Abstract: Transformers consuming multi-channel scalar signals must embed $C$ simultaneous values into one $d_{\text{model}}$-dimensional vector per time step. We empirically audit eight input encoders -- spanning a shared-scalar baseline, per-channel linear projections, an orthogonality regulariser, a nonlinear MLP stem, block-partitioned concatenation, channel-independent and channel-as-token architectures, and a projected positional encoding -- on a synthetic benchmark...

The Security Budget of Code LLMs: An Information-Theoretic Capacity-Security Bound
arXiv:2606.03308v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: AI programming assistants make natural-language prompts a software-development interface, so small prompt perturbations become usability and security risks. We study an information-theoretic trade-off for code LLMs between functional capacity, $\Cap=\rmI(c^*;c_\pi)$, and perturbation retention, $\Sec=\rmI(c_\pi;\tilde c_\pi)$. Here $\Sec$ is a retention-channel quantity, not a direct measure of exploit success or vulnerable-code generation....

Diverse binding poses of agonistic neurotoxins on human Nav1.6
Abstract Voltage-gated sodium (Nav) channels are key targets of various venomous toxins. Deciphering the binding poses and mechanisms of action of representative toxins will help to dissect the functional mechanism of the channels and facilitate therapeutic development targeting Nav channels1,2. Here we present cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structures of distinct binding poses of three agonistic peptide toxins on the human Nav1.6–β1 channel complex.
Channel Fracture: Architectural Blind Spots in Scheduled Cross-Agent Memory Injection for Multi-Agent Orchestration Systems
arXiv:2606.04896v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Multi-agent AI orchestration systems increasingly rely on persistent memory to maintain context across sessions, agents, and tasks. When one agent must inject knowledge into another agent's memory -- a common requirement in hierarchical team architectures -- the delivery mechanism must be architecturally sound. We report the discovery of a systematic failure mode we term channel fracture: a condition where scheduled (cron) agents in...

The Ü Programming Language
Ü is a statically-typed compiled programming language, designed for writing programs, which should be both reliable and fast. It has safe and unsafe code separation, compile-time correctness checks, powerful abstractions like RAII and templates, encapsulation, rich type system, lambdas, coroutines and many other useful features. Ü uses RAII for memory and resources management (no GC is involved), but manual memory management may be still used in unsafe code.
The end of a regulatory grey zone: Why China is cracking down on offshore brokerages
The end of a regulatory grey zone: Why China is cracking down on offshore brokerages China’s toughest crackdown yet on offshore brokerages is closing a popular route to overseas markets for mainland investors. Analysts say the move is about more than investor protection. SHENZHEN: When China unveiled its toughest crackdown yet on offshore trading platforms, Beijing-based investor Elaine Liang began exploring alternatives.
Some drugs 'fail' because of unrealistic testing conditions, scientists discover
Some drugs 'fail' because of unrealistic testing conditions, scientists discover Sadie Harley Scientific Editor Robert Egan Associate Editor A drug once dismissed as ineffective suddenly worked—when scientists tested it under more realistic conditions that mimic the human body. In this surprising new discovery, Northwestern University scientists uncovered a hidden rule of drug behavior. A medicine's effectiveness can change dramatically depending on the conditions inside our cells.
