SCALMU: Synthetically-trained Coupling of Adaptive Learned Multiplicative Updates for Hyperspectral-Multispectral Fusion

arXiv:2605.30973v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: HyperSpectral-MultiSpectral Image (HSI-MSI) fusion enables high-resolution hyperspectral imaging by combining the rich spectral information of low-spatial-resolution hyperspectral images with the detailed spatial structure of multispectral images. Classical methods such as Coupled Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (CNMF) benefit from a strong physical interpretability but suffer from inferior results compared to their deep-learning...

Analytic first-order non-adiabatic coupling matrix elements of spin-adapted open-shell time-dependent density functional theory

arXiv:2605.26594v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: While spin-adapted time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) approaches significantly improve the excitation energies and gradients of open-shell molecules, the effect of spin-adaptation on non-adiabatic coupling matrix elements (NACMEs) remains unknown for spin-conserving excitations. In this article, we report the derivation, implementation and benchmark studies of the ground state-excited state and excited state-excited state...

Rethinking Local Learning: A Cheaper and Faster Recipe for LLM Post-Training

Announce Type: replace Abstract: LLM post-training typically propagates task gradients through the full depth of the model. Although this end-to-end structure is simple and general, it couples task adaptation to full-depth activation storage, long-range backward dependencies and direct task-gradient access to pretrained representations. We argue that this full-depth backward coupling can be unnecessarily expensive and intrusive, particularly when post-training supervision is much narrower...

Power-Aware Cognitive Radar Multi-target Tracking Under Unknown Disturbances

arXiv:2507.17506v4 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: This work presents a cognitive radar (CR) framework designed to track multiple aircraft under unknown disturbances using massive multiple-input multiple-output (MMIMO) systems. Since uniform power allocation is suboptimal across varying signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs), we couple an adaptive waveform design driven by Partially Observable Monte Carlo Planning (POMCP). By assigning an independent POMCP tree to each target, the system...

arXiv:2606.01802v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: MOSS-Audio is a unified audio-language model for speech, environmental sound, and music understanding, supporting audio captioning, time-aware question answering, timestamped transcription, and audio-grounded reasoning. MOSS-Audio couples a dedicated audio encoder with a modality adapter and a large language model: the encoder produces 12.5 Hz temporal representations, the adapter projects them into the decoder space, and the decoder...

Matrix nucleotide homeostasis couples energetic state to mitochondrial translation

Mitochondrial protein synthesis must adapt to fluctuations in organellar energetic state to sustain oxidative phosphorylation and cellular homeostasis, yet the mechanisms coupling mitochondrial bioenergetics to gene expression remain poorly understood. Here, we identify matrix nucleotide phosphorylation potential as a direct metabolic determinant of mitochondrial translation. Using ATP synthase inhibition as an experimental perturbation, we show that inhibition of the F1Fo-ATP synthase...

A2RAG: Adaptive Agentic Graph Retrieval for Cost-Aware and Reliable Reasoning

Announce Type: replace Abstract: Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation (Graph-RAG) enhances multihop question answering by organizing corpora into knowledge graphs and routing evidence through relational structure. However, practical deployments face two persistent bottlenecks: (i) mixed-difficulty workloads where one-size-fits-all retrieval either wastes cost on easy queries or fails on hard multihop cases, and (ii) extraction loss, where graph abstraction omits fine-grained qualifiers that...

A Na⁺-PINK1 signaling axis couples mitochondrial fission to structural remodeling during synaptic depression

Mitochondrial density in dendrites adapts to the number of synaptic inputs to adequately sustain local ATP and Ca2+ buffering for neuronal signaling. During long-term depression (LTD), synapse elimination is accompanied by activation of caspase-3 through sublethal mitochondria-derived apoptotic signals, driving neurotransmitter receptor internalization and spine shrinking. However, the upstream signals that link synaptic activity to mitochondrial remodeling remain unknown.
