LANTERN: Layered Archival and Temporal Episodic Retrieval Network for Long-Context LLM Conversations

new Abstract: Large language models discard critical details when conversation history is compacted to fit within finite context windows. We present LANTERN (Layered Archival aNd Temporal Episodic Retrieval Network), a lightweight memory layer that proactively archives every conversation turn and restores relevant details after compaction via hybrid retrieval -- requiring zero LLM calls and adding fewer than 25ms of latency per turn. On 94 real multi-turn conversations (1,894 ground-truth...

Layered Ego Networks in Email Communication: From Enron to the Jmail Archive

Announce Type: new Abstract: Email archives offer a rare view of social relationships through repeated communication, but it remains unclear how well classical ego network layering applies to digital interaction data. This paper compares two public email archives with sharply contrasting structures: Enron, a workplace corpus involving around 150 users, and Jmail, a single-ego archive centered on an exceptionally active focal actor whose communication volume is more than twenty times higher...

Polymarket-v1 Database

arXiv:2606.04217v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: We introduce the Polymarket-v1 Database: the complete on-chain trade archive of Polymarket's first-generation CTF Exchange on Polygon, spanning 2022-11-21 to 2026-04-28 and covering the full contract lifecycle from first settlement to natural termination. The dataset comprises 1.20 billion trade records across 1.30 million markets with $61 billion in nominal volume. Its defining feature is 100% ground-truth aggressor direction derived from...

ClawXiv: a signed archival workflow and distributed publication architecture for human--AI collaborative research

arXiv:2604.16476v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: We propose \emph{ClawXiv}, a workflow and archive architecture for mixed human--AI research. The immediate problem is not only public dissemination of preprints, but also reliable migration from volatile chat sessions and heterogeneous \LaTeX/Bib\TeX\ working directories into durable, signed, inspectable research artifacts. ClawXiv distinguishes four states: \emph{legacy seed}, \emph{normalized project}, \emph{signed bundle}, and...

Connectional neuroanatomy of U-fibers in the rhesus monkey brain

The superficial white matter (SWM), the region of white matter immediately beneath the gray matter-white matter (GM-WM) border, contains short cortico-cortical association fibers that interconnect neighboring cortical regions. The SWM is estimated to comprise the majority of axons in the cerebral white matter and is thus thought to play a major role in cortical information processing. Despite this prominence, and growing attention in the diffusion MRI field, the connectional organization of...

rsx: A high-performance streaming toolkit for RAD-seq sex determination

Announce Type: cross Abstract: Restriction site-associated DNA sequencing (RAD-seq) is widely used to discover sex-linked markers in non-model organisms, but large studies produce marker tables with millions of RAD tags. RADSex provides the reference workflow for building marker-by-individual depth tables and testing sex-biased marker distributions, but its depth, merge, and related table-building commands grow memory-hungry, and its standard output reports frequentist calls with no...

Safety and Liveness of Cross-Domain State Preservation under Byzantine Faults: A Mechanized Proof in Isabelle/HOL

Announce Type: replace Abstract: Formally guaranteeing the safety and liveness of regulatory state transitions in cross-domain state synchronization systems is increasingly important as tokenized assets are operated across heterogeneous blockchain networks and off-chain ledgers. This paper presents a mechanized proof of 3,215 lines in Isabelle/HOL establishing two complementary properties. First, cross-domain state preservation (safety): a regulatory state transition on one domain is...

A century of sun records reveals clues to its 11-year rhythm

More than a century of observations from India’s historic Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru, has helped scientists uncover new clues about how the Sun’s surface responds to its 11-year activity cycle. The findings, based on an analysis of 34,000 images collected since 1907, could improve understanding of the processes that drive solar activity and eventually aid efforts to predict changes that affect the space environment around...

Amplified Arctic iceberg traffic reshapes benthic biodiversity

Abstract The Arctic is undergoing rapid warming, resulting in retreating sea ice and glaciers1, yet how cryospheric changes propagate into the deep ocean remains poorly understood2. Here we identify a climate-driven mechanism linking accelerating glacier disintegration to an increase in deep-sea hard-bottom habitats far beyond calving fronts. Seafloor observations in Fram Strait show a localized increase in the density and patchiness of dropstones delivered by debris-laden icebergs.
