AI Code Sandboxes: A Comparative Security Study. Part 1 of 2 -- Engine-Level Properties (Attack Surface, Leakage, Stackability, CVE History, Patch Cadence, Fuzzing)
arXiv:2606.08433v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: This paper reads six engine-level measurements together -- 1.1 host attack surface, 1.2 information leakage, 1.3 defense-in-depth stackability, 1.4 public CVE history, 1.5 patch cadence, and 1.6 upstream fuzzing posture -- to describe how five AI-sandbox products isolate guest code from the host kernel. No single axis is a sufficient basis for a comparative judgement; the cross-axis reading is the load-bearing analysis. Three high-level...
Predicting every game of the entire World Cup: All...
Everyone is using artificial intelligence to do, well, everything. With the World Cup starting on June 11, you can't scroll for more than a couple of minutes without hitting another post or video or reel of someone telling you how they used AI to predict the World Cup. So, I decided to use my own supercomputer to predict every game of the 2026 World Cup -- the supercomputer is called "my brain."
Secret Service-level security for NBA Finals with Trump attending Game 3
Secret Service-level security for NBA Finals with Trump attending Game 3 Watch party bans, road closures and bag bans in place as US President Trump plans to attend Game 3 with Knicks in lead. Road closures, no watch parties, bag bans and a gauntlet of security measures will greet fans when they arrive at Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, as United States President Donald Trump descends on the heart of Manhattan to watch the New York Knicks play the San Antonio Spurs at...
Backpressure is all you need
Backpressure is all you need There are two obvious ways to use coding agents. The first is to let the LLM run unattended and hope the repository survives. This is fast, exciting, and stupid.
Americans warned popular travel routes this summer could carry crime and kidnapping risks
The U.S. State Department has updated its travel advisory for Americans who are planning international trips this summer, including those expected to attend matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The updated advisory, issued May 29, applies to Mexico, one of three countries hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside the United States and Canada. The advisory remains at a "Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution" warning, citing concerns about terrorism, crime and kidnapping.

A thalamus–brainstem attractor network drives history-biased decisions
Abstract Natural environments often change gradually, making it adaptive to bias decisions on the basis of the recent past — a phenomenon known as serial dependence1,2,3. Large-scale recordings during behaviour have identified that serial dependence is a common motif for decision-making, with neural representations of past experiences found throughout the brain4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. However, it remains unclear whether this bias arises from dedicated neural circuits with history-specific...
Molecular glue degraders of HuR suppress BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer
Abstract BRAF gain-of-function mutations, particularly BRAF(V600E), affect roughly 10% of all patients with colorectal cancer (CRC), and portend poor prognosis with limited therapeutic interventions. BRAF inhibitors such as encorafenib are ineffective due to MAPK pathway reactivation driven by BRAF dimerization. Combined inhibition of BRAF and EGFR, although approved therapies, results in short survival benefits and frequent treatment resistance and relapse1,2,3.
A 5.3-million-year-old deep-sea whale necropolis in the Diamantina Zone
Abstract Whale falls are biodiversity oases at seabeds1,2,3,4,5,6, yet their record from the oceans has remained sparse and fragmentary6,7. Here we report the discovery of a vast whale necropolis in the Diamantina Zone (4,616- to 7,001-m depth), extending about 1,200 km along the sea floor of the southeastern Indian Ocean. This area has a deep and extensive accumulation comprising five modern natural whale-fall communities and 476 fossil cetaceans recorded.
SpaMEM: Benchmarking Dynamic Spatial Reasoning via Perception-Memory Integration in Embodied Environments
arXiv:2604.22409v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have advanced static visual--spatial reasoning, yet they often fail to preserve long-horizon spatial coherence in embodied settings where beliefs must be continuously revised from egocentric observations under environmental change. We introduce SpaMEM (Spatial Memory from Action Sequences), a large-scale diagnostic benchmark that isolates the mechanics of spatial belief evolution via...
