Learning Hyperspherical Time-Frequency Representations for Time-Series Out-of-Distribution Detection
arXiv:2605.31155v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Out-of-distribution (OOD) detection for time-series data remains comparatively underexplored compared to vision and language, with a limited principled understanding of how supervised time-series representations can be leveraged for reliable detection under distributional shifts. This work formulates time-series OOD detection as representation learning with hyperspherical embeddings, where class-conditional structure is induced by a von...
HyFAD: Hybrid Time-Frequency Diffusion with Frequency-Aware Embedding for Time Series Imputation
arXiv:2606.05239v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Diffusion models have demonstrated strong performance in time series modeling due to their ability to progressively capture complex data distributions through iterative denoising. However, existing approaches struggle with frequency-sensitive denoising, high-frequency reconstruction and balancing global trends with local dynamics. To address these limitations, we propose \textbf{HyFAD}, a \textbf{Hy}brid time-frequency \textbf{D}iffusion...
Systematic Evaluation of Time-Frequency Features for Binaural Sound Source Localization
Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: This study presents a systematic evaluation of time-frequency feature design for binaural sound source localization (SSL), focusing on how feature selection influences model performance across diverse conditions. We investigate the performance of a convolutional neural network (CNN) model using various combinations of amplitude-based features (magnitude spectrogram, interaural level difference - ILD) and phase-based features (phase spectrogram,...
Time-frequency analysis of nonlinear Compton scattering via joint probability distributions
arXiv:2606.05203v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The interaction of charged particles with an intense laser pulse gives rise to a number of characteristic spectral features of emitted radiation, including the generation of harmonics, spectral broadening due to the phase-dependent ponderomotive red shift, and the emergence of intricate sub-harmonic structures. These effects are accumulated over the course of the interaction with the electromagnetic field and are therefore inherently nonlocal...
High-order synchrosqueezed wavelet-chirplet transform for instantaneous frequency and chirprate estimation
Announce Type: cross Abstract: The separation of multicomponent signals with crossing instantaneous frequency (IF) curves remains a fundamental challenge in time-frequency analysis. Although the synchrosqueezed wavelet-chirplet transform (SWCT) enhances time-frequency readability by introducing a chirprate variable, its effectiveness is constrained by the underlying assumption of local linear chirp. Consequently, this method does not perform well when analyzing signals characterized by...
SafeECGMatch: Calibration-Aware Joint Frequency and Time Space Semi-Supervised Learning for Open-Set ECG Classification
arXiv:2606.08037v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Electrocardiogram (ECG) classification models often suffer from severe label scarcity, making semi-supervised learning (SSL) an attractive strategy for reducing annotation costs. In clinical settings, however, unlabeled pools frequently contain out-of-distribution (OOD) anomalies or diagnostic groups absent from the labeled set. Standard SSL forces incorrect pseudo-labels onto these unseen classes, producing overconfident predictions.
BiEAR: A Human Auditory-Inspired Adaptive Binaural Front-end for Multi-Speaker Localisation and Distance Estimation
Announce Type: cross Abstract: We present BiEAR, a human auditory-inspired adaptive binaural front-end for multi-speaker localisation and distance estimation. Inspired by medial olivocochlear (MOC) feedback in human hearing, BiEAR uses a neural controller to adaptively adjust the frequency selectivity of a binaural auditory filterbank during inference. This yields time-frequency adaptive representations for ears, enabling the model to respond to changing acoustic conditions.
3DAE: Binaural Quality Assessment for Audio Novel View Synthesis with Spatial Maps and Benchmark
arXiv:2605.30469v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: 3D audio and novel-view acoustic synthesis models are usually evaluated with global metrics. However, global metrics often hide where and why binaural prediction fails. We propose a full-reference diagnostic framework that uses time-frequency audio error maps for magnitude, ILD, IPD, temporal alignment, loudness, and high-frequency failures, forming a 3D Audio Error Map (3DAE Map) for visual inspection.
Rotatable Antenna-Enhanced Cell-Free Communication
arXiv:2512.04742v4 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Rotatable antenna (RA) is a promising technology that can exploit new spatial degrees-of-freedom (DoFs) by flexibly adjusting the three-dimensional (3D) boresight direction of antennas. In this letter, we investigate an RA-enhanced cell-free system for downlink transmission, where multiple RA-equipped access points (APs) cooperatively serve multiple single-antenna users over the same time-frequency resource. Specifically, we aim to maximize...
