Nvidia, Unitree and Sharpa unite to design humanoid robot that can perform ‘real work’
Nvidia, Unitree and Sharpa unite to design humanoid robot that can perform ‘real work’ The tech trio team up to create a state-of-the-art robot reference design allowing researchers to build, fine-tune and deploy skills faster The new design, called H2+ or Isaac GR00T, will support industry-wide humanoid robotics research by streamlining the full development workflow for developers, including data collection, policy training and real-world deployment. “For agentic systems, robotic systems...
Anyone can build a platform now. Almost nobody can get people to find it
I want to start this post with an admission that's a little uncomfortable, which is that the platform I built specifically to help other people solve their distribution problem is itself struggling with exactly the same distribution problem I built it to solve. ClaudeFolio is live, the submissions feature works, the upvoting works, the design is clean, and the rules are exactly the rules I wanted them to be. The only thing missing is the part where lots of people know it exists.
A Model of Integrated Information Processing in Human-AI Interaction
arXiv:2606.07283v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: For Human-AI Interaction (HAII) research to move forward, theoretical work linking psychological mechanisms to interface design is needed. Such work should extend rather than replace established HCI and automation research, adapting to the increasing autonomy and agency of AI systems. Building on prior frameworks focused on roles and levels in human interaction with automation, a gap remains from a psychological view: a task-centered,...
RocketSmith: An Agentic System for High-Powered Rocket Design and Manufacturing
Announce Type: replace Abstract: This work presents RocketSmith, an agentic system capable of the design, manufacturing, and optimization processes in high powered rocket development. The system enables the intelligent automation of software tools as to not only validate factors such as flight stability but also generate the parametric design components for the rocket assembly. A collection of subagents and skills enable optimization workflows of flight parameters via iteration in both...
RDA: Reward Design Agent for Reinforcement Learning
Announce Type: new Abstract: Reinforcement learning has enabled the acquisition of impressive robotic skills, but typically requires hand-crafted reward functions that are slow to design and difficult to align with human intentions. Recent work, such as Eureka, automates reward design by using an LLM to iteratively generate and refine reward code from task descriptions. However, they rely on coarse feedback signals such as success rate, which provide little semantic insight into the learned...
Computer-Aided Tagging on Wikimedia Commons: Designing for Human-AI Collaboration in Open Knowledge Work
arXiv:2605.30800v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: This study investigates Wikimedia Commons contributors' lived experiences with the Computer-Aided Tagging (CAT) tool, an AI-assisted image tagging system designed to improve Commons' discoverability, searchability, accessibility, and multilingual support. Using a qualitative analysis of 595 CAT-related community comments from 11 wiki pages and 16 in-depth interviews, we identify seven key issues that contributed to CAT's mixed reception and...

Keir Starmer to unveil 'Jobcentre in your pocket' AI tools in major tech speech In a speech on Monday, Keir Starmer will announce a new AI assistant, designed by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), will provide 24/7 careers advice to help people find jobs Keir Starmer will unveil "Jobcentre in your pocket" AI tools to get people into work. In a speech on Monday the Prime Minister will promise to make new tech work for everyone, and not just the privileged few. Mr Starmer will announce...
Property-Informed Diffusion-Based Text-to-Microstructure Generation
arXiv:2606.08150v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Designing 3D metamaterial microstructures that meet the intended functions remains a major challenge, as it typically requires domain expertise, iterative simulations, and extensive manual tuning. Existing work on inverse design that automatically generates microstructures based on desired target properties often suffers from limited design diversity and faces challenges in ensuring the physical feasibility of the generated structures. To...
Trump cries ‘steal’ over slow California vote count, but anti-fraud system works, say experts
State’s tortoise-like pace is byproduct of system of verifications and opportunities for voters to fix errorsCalifornia’s slow vote counting has frustrated political observers eagerly awaiting results, and handed Donald Trump and others an opportunity to claim “election rigging”. But experts say the system is working as designed: to protect against fraud and assure every vote is counted. Within a day of the polls closing in California’s primary election this week, Trump started accusing...
Explicit Turn Resolution with Anisotropic Homogenisation for Efficient 3D Magneto-Thermal Finite-Element Simulation of Large-Scale No-Insulation HTS Magnets
Announce Type: cross Abstract: No-insulation (NI) and metal-insulation (MI) high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets require three-dimensional (3D) models to describe the current distribution around critical current defects. In this work, we design and validate the EXTRA homogenisation method, standing for explicit turn resolution with anisotropic homogenisation method. It allows 3D magneto-thermal finite-element (FE) simulations of large-scale magnets to be performed with high...
