London Fire Brigade (LFB) said around 100 firefighters across 15 fire engines are tackling the blaze at a building on Landmann Way in Bermondsey. Two of LFB’s 32-metre turntable ladders are working to extinguish the blaze. People have been asked to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing. Thick smoke can be seen billowing across the skyline and is visible from Rotherhithe and Canada Water. Key Events Rail services from London Bridge have been delayed or diverted to alternative routes due to a fire in a building near the railway tracks. The fire has caused major disruption to a number of Southeastern services passing through the London Bridge area. Some services are currently at a standstill. Around 100 firefighters are tackling a blaze at a recycling centre on Landmann Way in Bermondsey. Southeastern has said the fire is at a property next to railway tracks. The railway operator said trains to and from London Bridge are being diverted via alternate routes. Customers can use their Southeastern tickets at no extra cost on London Underground services between London terminals, the Elizabeth Line, High Speed services on all routes, and the DLR on all routes. London Fire Brigade said that due to the "significant amount of smoke in the area", local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors shut. Two of London Fire Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders have been deployed to the scene to help tackle the fire from above. London Fire Brigade said control officers took the first of multiple calls at 5.32pm and have sent crews from Deptford, Old Kent Road, Greenwich and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
