France's justice minister Gerald Darmanin on June 8 refused to resign after outrage erupted over judicial lapses in the handling of the suspect in an 11-year-old girl's killing. He also ordered prosecutors to re-examine the 70,000 legal complaints under review across France for alleged crimes against children. The government is now looking towards measures to introduce to avoid any such tragedy to happen again. FRANCE 24's James André.
