"A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening stab wounds. A second man has sustained wounds to his hand. A cordon is in place while we carry out enquiries." "I was at the library earlier but I didn’t know anything of it was happening," the student told Birmingham Live. "All of a sudden my friends came over and were like, ‘oh my god, have you seen outside? [...] In the centre of town is really worrying," he added.
