West Midlands Police are at the scene of a stabbing in Birmingham city centre with two people injured
Police have sealed off a large area outside Birmingham's main library in the city centre after two people were stabbed.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are currently at the scene of a stabbing in Centenary Square, Birmingham.
"A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening stab wounds. A second man has sustained wounds to his hand. A cordon is in place while we carry out enquiries."
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting log 2914 of 11 June.

A University of Birmingham student, who chose not to be named, says a stabbing in the centre of town is "really worrying".
"I was at the library earlier but I didn’t know anything of it was happening," the student told Birmingham Live.
"All of a sudden my friends came over and were like, ‘oh my god, have you seen outside? [...] In the centre of town is really worrying," he added.
Multiple emergency service vehicles can be seen parked beside a cordoned in Birmingham's city centre this evening. Police are continuing to work at the scene. A police investigation is ongoing.
A man in his 20s has suffered potentially life-threatening stab wounds and is currently being treated in hospital, West Midlands Police have said.
A second man has sustained wounds to his hand.
A large cordon is in place outside the Library of Birmingham in Centenary Square.
