72 arrested outside court where Palestine Action activists are being sentenced The Metropolitan Police say 72 people have been arrested for supporting Palestine Action at a protest outside Woolwich Crown Court, where around 500 had gathered Police have arrested 72 people for supporting Palestine Action at a protest where four people are being sentenced for a raid on an Israeli-linked private defence company. The raid by Samuel Corner, 23, Charlotte Head, 30, Leona Kamio, 30, and Fatema Rajwani, 21, caused £1m worth of damage to the Elbit Systems UK factory in Bristol in the early hours of August 6 2024. The group had acted in protest over the company's ties to conflict in the Middle East and could today be jailed today for their involvement. Around 500 people had gathered outside Woolwich Crown Court in support of the activists. The Met Police have now said 72 people were arrested for supporting Palestine Action at the demonstration.
