A number of food and product recalls have been issued this week.
Popular food, drinks and range of cars have been recalled this week. A number of recall notices have been issued warning customers not to consume the products or stop using them.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has shared multiple notices recently over incorrect labelling, cans unexpectedly breaking and potential metal and glass contamination. Anyone with the food and drink items has been urged not to eat them and instead return to store for a refund.
Meanwhile, a popular range of cars has been issued a mass recall over a risk of fire. Anyone with the cars will be contacted to attend an appointment. Here is a roundup of the latest recalls...
Chocolate bar
Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar made by Buttermilk Confections has been recalled by the FSA because it contains milk that is not mentioned on the label. This poses a risk for anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance.
Packs affected are sized 45g with a best before date of June 15, 2027. The batch code on these items is BM26105. Buttermilk Confections said: “If you have bought Buttermilk Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar as detailed above, do not eat it.” Instead, return to the store for a full refund with or without a receipt.
Car
A mass recall has been issued for cars as they may catch fire. The fire risk has seen global carmaker Stellantis forced to recall more than one million Jeep vehicles globally, with many pulled from UK roads amid fears of spontaneous combustion, caused by overheating.
It is caused by faulty wiring in electric hydraulic power steering pumps in the cars. The cars at risk were made between 2021 and 2025, with Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models impacted.
Owners of vehicles at risk will be contacted so that an appointment at a Jeep retailer can be arranged. A Stellantis spokesperson said: “Having customer safety and satisfaction at the core of its values, Stellantis is voluntarily recalling 1,834 Jeep Wrangler in the UK to inspect, and if necessary, repair or replace the wiring harness and/or electric hydraulic power steering pump."
Fizzy drink
Dalston Soda Company is recalling Dalston’s Pineapple Soda drink over a packaging defect. There is a risk the cans may unexpectedly break apart and leave sharp edges.
The notice said: "This may present a risk of injury. Do not drink it. Please safely dispose of the product." Customers have been told not to return the products but to "safely dispose" of them.
The recall added: "Handle the cans as little as possible, place them carefully, upright, in a sealed bag and dispose of them with your household waste." It affects 330ml single cans with batch code 037130 and best before 04/08/2027 as well as 4 x 330ml multipacks with batch code 037129 and best before 04/08/2027.
