Royal fans say one family member at Trooping the Colour is real 'main character' Royal fans watching Trooping the Colour have been left gobsmacked at how one family member oozes 'main character' energy, despite being one of the youngest royals Fans of the Royal Family have been left in awe at today's Trooping the Colour parade, which marks the Monarch's birthday, thanks to one 'main character' member. Even though King Charles was born in November, his official birthday is celebrated in June, as is the case with many monarchs before him. This is due to centuries of tradition - and the weather. As thousands of Royal fans flood the Mall to celebrate the event, all eyes were on one Royal Family member - and it wasn't King Charles, who you may expect to be the centre of attention at his own celebration. No, the Royal Family member stealing hearts is Princess Charlotte. Travelling with her mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her two brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte exuded confidence and ease as she waved and smiled at the crowds gathered to spot her and her family, even when other members of her family didn't. Princess Charlotte wore a simple white dress with short sleeves, while her brothers wore sharp suits, ensuring they were well-dressed for the special occasion. Others complimented how "lovely" Princess Kate looked, showing off her baby blue ensemble, with her hair up in a neat style. Someone took to X to write: "Princess Charlotte is out there being the Main Character." Another responded: "I just know how the children are always well groomed, appropriately attired and presented in all situations, ceremonial, formal or informal." Somebody else pointed out that "The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte are wearing matching three-strand pearl bracelets today! So cute." Others said that Princess Charlotte was "sweet," with some likening her to the late Queen Elizabeth II. "She's beautiful and regal," a fan wrote. It's not the first time she's been likened to her great-grandmother either, as on her 10th birthday, Princess Kate posted a photo of her only daughter to wish her many happy returns, and people pointed out the likeness. Fans flocked to comment on Charlotte's picture, with one writing: "Princess Charlotte looks like the late Queen." A second added: "Happy Birthday HRH Princess Charlotte! You are the image of your great-grandmother, HRH QUEEN ELIZABETH II, and do her proud." Another said: "Happy Birthday to Princess Charlotte. She looks so similar to Queen Elizabeth." Royal commentator Phil Dampier told the Daily Express: "She is growing up fast and reminds me of Princess Anne as she's a strong character and able to tell her brothers what to do." Meanwhile, another penned: "She looks so similar to Queen Elizabeth." Reflecting on her likeness to the late monarch, he added: "Winston Churchill once said of the late Queen Elizabeth when she was a child that he had never seen such maturity in someone so young, and Charlotte seems to have inherited that trait from her great-grandmother, to whom she bears an uncanny resemblance".
