Key Event Sun 14 Jun 2026 at 4:05am England has stolen kit recovered Some news from late yesterday that has since been resolved is that the training kit England had stolen in Kansas City has since been mostly recovered. The BBC and other outlets following England said most of the items have been returned. Thomas Tuchel and his squad will arrive in Kansas City this afternoon and the equipment was due to be in place beforehand. Footwear was among the items stolen but that did not include any elite boots and, crucially, nothing game-critical was taken. "Yesterday, officials in Kansas City learned at some point between their over-the-road transport from Florida to their arrival at the training facility in Kansas City, goods belonging to the English national team were stolen," Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas told reporters. "Public safety officials at the local, state and federal levels are working to trace where in the United States the items were seized and all the individuals who may have been involved." Reportedly, all but a single training ball was taken from the collection of equipment. Two people were later arrested by Kansas police.
