40 cars have windows smashed in one street in crowbar attack A 28-year-old man has been arrested A 28-year-old man was being quizzed by police today after more than 40 parked cars were smashed with a crowbar in a targeted street attack. Locals living on Moseley Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, were woken to their motors being wrecked on Friday. The man, who was armed with a crowbar, was spotted lunging at the cars with the tool at around 10am. The unnamed man ruined a £40,000 Audi TT along with other vehicles. A neighbour who witnessed the rampage said: "It must be more than 29 cars. This man decided to smash all the back windows, front windows from right at the beginning of the road right to the end. "He took every car window down. The police caught him at the end, but there was that much damage. Everyone's cars were gone. He used what looked like a tree log to smash all the windows. "Everyone's taken their cars off the street, some have been fixed. It's a crazy thing to do." A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon. West Midlands Police said: "We were called to reports of a man damaging numerous vehicles on Moseley Road, Birmingham, at around 10am this morning. "Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of causing criminal damage. A crowbar was also recovered, and he was further arrested for possession of an offensive weapon. We understand the concern with this incident."
