A mid-air collision involving two helicopters in Rio de Janeiro's western zone on Sunday morning has resulted in the deaths of all six people on board, as confirmed by firefighters.
The Military Fire Department announced that one of the aircraft plummeted onto a car dealership, sparking a fire among parked electric vehicles, which was subsequently brought under control.
An official investigation has been launched to ascertain the precise cause of the fatal incident.
Police said that American singer and comedian Oliver Tree was on the list of passengers handed to aviation authorities, but have not been able to identify the bodies of those killed in the crash.
TMZ and CNN Brazil both reported that Tree was on board one of the helicopters.
