All the theories on why Harper visited Brooklyn Beckham as expert weighs in on feud Harper Beckham's visit to Brooklyn Beckham's LA home has sparked widespread speculation, with Brooklyn himself declaring it 'was choreographed for the cameras'. But what's really going on? The bitter feud splitting House Beckham has taken yet another turn, with an unlikely family member taking centre stage. Photographs emerged over the weekend of 14-year-old Harper Beckham, the youngest of the Beckham children, visiting her brother Brooklyn Beckham's £14 million LA home. On the afternoon of Friday, June 12, the teenager was seen knocking on the door. After receiving no answer, she reportedly left behind a handwritten letter before being driven away in a chaffeur driven black SUV. The seemingly-innocent gesture has sparked widespread speculation among those who've followed the family saga, with suggestions that the teenager was being used as a pawn in the Beckham PR machine, setting up the supposed peace gesture as a publicity exercise. It's also been speculated that Harper had intended to visit her sibling privately, only for the photos to be leaked by paparazzi who were waiting outside to capture Brooklyn. So was Harper's door knock a perfectly innocent gesture pounced on by the paparazzi, or is there more to the story to be found behind the carefully guarded doors of Beckingham Palace? Harper's visit happened mere hours before dad, Sir David Beckham, was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with the glittering ceremony unfolding just a short drive from where 27-year-old Brooklyn lives with his wife, Nicola Peltz. Speaking with emotion as he received the accolade, Sir David, 51, said, "My beautiful children are the reason I get out of bed in the morning", adding, "To make you all proud is my greatest achievement." But while the former England star was surrounded by family, estranged son Brooklyn was conspicuously absent. Brooklyn was miles away in New York at the time of the unveiling, promoting his hot sauce brand, Cloud23. The foodie torched bridges with his family earlier this year, telling his side of the story in a fiery Instagram post. The photographer turned chef, who has been in the public eye since the day of his birth, made a number of startling allegations against his parents, who he claimed had tried "endlessly to ruin" his relationship with Nicola. He told followers: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into." Now, after the photographs of Harper emerged, Brooklyn has reiterated his stance on his supposedly "inauthentic" family. His and Nicola's representatives told the Mirror: "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all - this was choreographed for the cameras." Meanwhile, a source told The Sun: "Brooklyn and Nicola are aware that Harper visited their Los Angeles home. They have not responded. It felt like an orchestrated move by his family and made them feel uncomfortable." On this front, PR expert Mayah Riaz believes the truth could be a little more nuanced than this. She told the Mirror: “From a PR perspective, I think people are underestimating just how difficult it is to keep anything private when you’re part of one of the most photographed families in the world. "The theory that this was some grand, carefully orchestrated stunt feels a little too simplistic and somewhat convenient. When emotions are running high within a family, not every movement is part of a strategic plan. "That said, it’s equally difficult to ignore the fact that cameras were there at exactly the right moment. In celebrity circles, there is often a belief that if a photo exists, somebody somewhere wanted the story to be seen. Whether that came from within the Beckham camp, from people surrounding Brooklyn and Nicola, or simply from paparazzi already monitoring activity around the family, is impossible to know." With the rumour mill in full swing, many have rushed to defend young Harper, who, it's understood, was the only member of the Beckham clan to make the five-mile journey to Brooklyn's home, taken there and back in a chauffeur-driven black SUV. It's been reported that Harper had the support of her parents when she called on Brooklyn, who are said not to want to come between their children as the feud continues. While Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham have remained silent on the incident, a source close to the couple have lashed out at "nasty accusations". They told the Daily Mail: "It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother. Nothing needed to be said at all, so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary." Although they haven't addressed this recent development directly, the younger Beckham brothers have stood firm in their support for the family, and especially Harper. Taking to Instagram, Romeo Beckham, 23, shared a sweet photograph showing him with his little sister, whom he declared was his "favourite person ever". Meanwhile, Cruz Beckham, 21, has shared happy family snaps from the Beckhams' time in LA, including one of him and dad David downing celebratory shots. So was Harper's visit all part of Brand Beckham in action? PR guru Mayah isn't too sure, noting that "the most plausible explanation is often the simplest one". Mayah reflected: "Harper likely wanted to reach out to her brother during what is clearly a painful family situation, and the visit unfortunately became public. "As strategic as the Beckhams are with their brand and PR, I just don’t think they would put their daughter in that position for a headline. However, the bigger question is not whether the visit was choreographed, but actually how it ended up becoming a headline. "What stands out to me is that Harper is only 14. She has largely been shielded from public family disputes throughout her life, so seeing her drawn into the narrative changes the tone of the story considerably. From a reputation management perspective, this is where this situation becomes more delicate for everyone involved." She continued: "Once younger family members become part of the public fallout, the public tends to lose interest in who is right and who is wrong and instead starts asking why the dispute has reached this point. "One of the biggest risks for all parties is that the story shifts from a family disagreement to a perception that family members are being used as symbols in a public battle. Fairly or unfairly, that is a narrative no celebrity family wants attached to them. When a 14-year-old becomes the headline, the family feud has entered a far more sensitive chapter. "Ultimately, unless someone involved confirms exactly what happened, everything remains speculation. But in my view, an emotional family outreach becoming public through circumstances, rather than a meticulously choreographed stunt, feels the more likely scenario.” Do you have a story to share?
