Kerry Kennedy, who has been critical of her brother’s anti-vaccine stance, described the bizarre incident on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront Monday. The human rights activist said it took place when one of her daughters, who is now nearly 30-years-old, was a child. Kennedy recalled how she found the snake in her garden during the party and called her brother for help. “He rushed over with his infant son, Aidan, in one hand, who was just a few months old,” Kennedy said, noting that her brother had a pillow case in his other hand. “He grabbed this snake and stuffed it into the pillowcase while he was holding his infant son,” she continued. “That was a little scary. “Then he walked up to where the rest of the birthday party was, and he reached into the bag. The snake was just chomping on his hand, and he pulled out the snake to show the kids.” RFK Jr proceeded to put a vole into a bag with the snake, Kennedy said, with children screaming because they feared the reptile would eat the rodent. After the snake “chomped on him a few more times,” the group headed to RFK Jr’s own house, where other children were playing in a pool. “There were tons of kids in the swimming pool,” Kerry said. “He released this snake that had chomped on his hand into the swimming pool.” Kennedy’s story comes just a few weeks after her brother was filmed grabbing two snakes from the patio of fellow Trump official Mehmet Oz. RFK Jr posted a clip to his X account, with the caption: “Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz’s patio,” referring to his wife Cheryl Hines, who can be heard in the video telling him to be careful. The non-venomous Black Racer snakes appeared to repeatedly bite the health secretary during the video. filmed at the waterfront Florida home of Dr Oz, the current administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Kennedy shared the birthday party anecdote when asked about RFK Jr’s other encounters with animals, which have included dumping the body of a bear in New York’s Central Park. Noting that her brother has a “fascination with nature,” she claimed he had a “lack of judgment when it comes to the safety and care of children.” RFK Jr has yet to comment on his sister’s story. His 66 year-old sibling has been a vocal critic of the health secretary, describing his endorsement of Trump in 2024 in a statement on X as a “betrayal of the values” their famous political family holds.
