Parents who want to relax all summer, knowing that they're already prepared for the next school year, may want to get to Lidl stores on Thursday. The hugely popular school uniform sale is set to make its return.
For the fifth year in a row, the budget retailer is bringing back its much-loved £5 school uniform bundle, giving parents a helping hand ahead of the next school term. The supermarket's uniform range starts off at just £1.50, offering families a budget-friendly way to tick off their back-to-school shopping list.
From shorts and trousers to skirts, shirts and dresses, all the essentials are covered. The deal lands in stores across the UK from Thursday, June 25.
The popular £5 bundle includes a two-pack of polos, a sweatshirt and a choice of skirt, shorts or trousers — giving parents everything they need to get the basics sorted. Lidl bosses describe the wider uniform range as "a one-stop shop for all classroom essentials", available in sizes four to 12 years.
Individual pieces can be mixed and matched throughout the collection, with prices starting from as little as £1.50. The supermarket chain said: "Whilst gentle on the wallet, Lidl's school uniforms are playground-proof, built to handle the realities of the school day.
"Featuring water-repellent skirts, shorts and trousers to help tackle muddy adventures, the range is made with practicality in mind. Better still, all items are machine washable and tumble dryer safe, making laundry day as effortless as playtime is messy."
Uniform items will be added to the Middle of Lidl aisles throughout stores, reports the Express, alongside other bargains on lunchboxes, drink bottles and stationery. See the range online here.

The average school uniform costs parents around £340 per year for primary school and £454 for secondary school. This figure usually covers compulsory branded items, generic clothing, PE kits and school shoes.
From this September, schools will be legally obliged to limit the number of branded uniform items to three (excluding ties) under new legislation forming part of the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. Previous reports from officials suggest this could save parents up to £50 per child.
The move comes alongside the rollout of expanded schemes and fresh rules designed to support families amid cost-of-living pressures. For instance, half a million additional children will qualify for free school meals and, by September, more than 2,000 free breakfast clubs will be up and running, helping parents cut costs while ensuring children are fed, focused and ready to learn.
