Zara Tindall has been wearing the same pair of sunglasses on repeat over the years, making them her go-to pair for occasions like Royal Ascot and Cheltenham Festival
It’s no secret that the Royals have countless fashion brands at their disposal, so when they choose to re-wear the same pieces over and over again, you know it must be something that they really love. Which is exactly why we know that Zara Tindall’s champagne-coloured sunglasses are some of her favourites, as she’s rarely spotted without them.
Zara has worn her Tavistock sunglasses from Finlay for countless occasions over the years, the most recent of which was this year’s Royal Ascot. Zara wore her sunglasses on day two and day three of the prestigious race day, proving they complement a whole range of different outfits.

Her Tavistock sunglasses are priced at £160 and come in eight different colours, but it’s the champagne-coloured pair that Zara keeps in constant rotation, wearing them everywhere from Ascot to Cheltenham. The sunnies have light cream-coloured frames that are transparent and made from sustainable Italian Mazzucchelli acetate.
The light colourway means they’ll pair perfectly with outfits of any colour, although you can also pick from colours like black, olive and dark brown. Their 1960s-inspired square shape means they look both smart and effortlessly cool, so you can use them to accessorise everything from formal attire to your everyday looks.
They feature brown gradient Zeiss lenses which have full UVA/UVB protection to make sure your eyes are fully protected from the sun. The Tavistock sunglasses come in a folding hard case to keep them safe, and a microfibre cleaning cloth which keeps them looking new without damaging the lenses.
You can also fully customise the Tavistock sunglasses, with an engraving option available at checkout. It’s also possible to have them fitted with your own prescription, or polarised lenses for added protection from the sun.
A similar style of sunnies is available at Jimmy Fairly, with The Loulou available for £135 and coming in a slightly larger square shape. For a more vintage look, these Della Spiga are £68 at Wolf & Badger, and fully embrace the oversize shades style.
As well as the Tavistock silhouette, Zara has also previously been spotted wearing Finlay’s Archer sunglasses in the marble colourway. The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton is also a fan of the brand, having worn the Vivian sunglasses – also in the marble design – in the past, making Finlay a thoroughly royal-approved brand.
