M25 traffic LIVE: All lanes closed after horror coach fire Emergency services are responding to a coach fire on the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 this afternoon between J9 and Leatherhead and J8 at Redhill with eight-mile queues and delays of an hour Moroists have been warned that a burning coach on the M25 is set to cause rush-hour chaos this afternoon. Commuters are facing eight mile long tailbacks after emergency services responded to the coach fire on the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 this afternoon. Drivers have been hit with delays of an hour on approach to the incident, which is ongoing between J9 and Leatherhead and J8 at Redhill. Two lanes remain closed following an earlier vehicle fire. The agency said: "On the clockwise carriageway, speed restrictions remain in place to ensure the safety of drivers and those working on the opposite side of the road. "On the anticlockwise carriageway, we are preparing to release traffic. Lanes 1 and 2 will remain closed, with the closure extending beyond the incident scene. Please allow us a little more time to complete our final safety checks before reopening Lanes 3 and 4. "Once traffic is released, the time it takes for vehicles to begin moving will depend on your position within the queue, so some delays may continue while congestion clears. "Beyond the incident, drivers should also expect the usual rush-hour traffic conditions." National Highways: South-East said: "Traffic stopped on the M25 anticlockwise in Greater London between J9 Leatherhead and J8 Redhill due to a coach fire. "Emergency services are working on scene. "Current delays of 58 minutes on the approach, with 8 miles of congestion."
