Witch doctor says he's 'cursed' Harry Kane in bid to give Ghana a boost ahead of England World Cup clash A witch doctor who previously claimed responsibility for Cristiano Ronaldo's 2014 knee injury says he is set to cast a spell on Harry Kane in the hopes of giving his country a boost to win the clash A self-proclaimed witch doctor claimed to be working on putting a spell on Harry Kane in the hopes of boosting his country's chance in the World Cup clash between the two nations tomorrow. Ghana’s famous witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam claims to have previously used his magic to help give Ghana an edge. Back in the 2014 World Cup, he claims to have caused a knee injury to Cristiano Ronaldo. Now the witch doctor, whose name translates as "Devil of Wednesday", he says he will use the same magic to put a spell on England’s captain as Ghana is set to take on England in the World Cup on Tuesday, June 23. Nana told the Daily Star: “I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am very famous for my predictions. "I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just enough to stop him against my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana." Nana claims his magic comes from the Kofi Oo Kofi shrine and proclaims himself as ‘Africa’s only Authentic Man’ with the powers he offers includes rituals, guidance, spiritual healing and protecting. In 2014 he claimed he was the reason for a knee injury that threatened Cristiano Ronaldo ’s participation at the World Cup ahead of Portugal facing Ghana. He explained that he conjured a special powder from his gods, mixed with several leaves and concoctions which he placed around an image and caricature of the former Manchester United star. At the time, Nana said: "I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him. "I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called Kahwiri Kapam. I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World up or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury. “This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else.” Despite Nana’s claims, Ronaldo had already been struggling with paella tendinosis in his left knee alongside another injury before the tournament but the football superstar played against Ghana and scored the winner as Portugal had a 2-1 victory, marking his first and only goal of the 2014 tournament.
