Andreessen Horowitz LLC General Partner David George, an investor in SpaceX, said the “rapid reusability” of the new Starship rocket will be crucial to delivering on Elon Musk’s bet on orbital data centers to expand AI computing capacity.
Pushing those capabilities into space is inevitable once Starship is in service, George said Wednesday in a Bloomberg Television interview, because terrestrial AI data center capacity is becoming increasingly constrained. He offered a new way to think about these future satellites: “airplane-sized GPU racks in space.”
