Four iconic pub favourite crisp flavours axed as fans call it 'end of an era' KP Snacks has confirmed it has discontinued four fan-favourite crisp flavours including Beef, Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Salted - and shoppers are not happy Four much-loved crisp flavours have been axed — much to the disappointment of its core group of fans. KP Snacks has discontinued several firm-favourite crisps. The snacks weren't stocked in supermarkets, but could be picked up in corner shops, pubs and through online retailers. Loyal customers flocked to social media to find out what had happened to their beloved crisps, with many concluding that the range had been pulled from shelves for good. A KP Snacks spokesperson told The Sun: "We have made the decision to discontinue KP Crisps Salted, Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Beef as we focus on our wider portfolio. "We understand these products have a loyal following and thank consumers for their continued support of our brands." The news appeared to first come to light via a post on Facebook. A user told the group "We Need to Talk About Crisps" that the final ever production run of the beef-flavoured snacks had just been completed, and that the "company handed them all out" to staff. The user described it as the "end of an era" for the beef-flavoured crisps. Many fans were left gutted by the announcement. "Noooooo, please say this isn't true I get a box of these every birthday," one devastated customer said. "They were the perfect cheap pub crisp with a weirdly legit beefy flavour," said another. A third added: "The flavour on the KP Beef/Cheese & Onion is better than anything else on the market!". One user fondly recalled the snack as a treasured childhood memory. "My first ever crisp! 7p in tuck shop at junior school," they shared. KP Snacks has since confirmed that the beef-flavour crisps have been axed, along with several other varieties in the range. The crisps were originally introduced as a low-cost alternative for shoppers and were well known for being significantly cheaper than their branded counterparts.
