H.B. Fuller Co. is close to an agreement to acquire Advanced Medical Solutions Group Plc in a deal valuing the equity of the British maker of tissue-healing medical products at £628 million ($827 million).
The US adhesives manufacturer, which is seeking to push into healthcare, is poised to announce as soon as Thursday an offer of £2.85 a share for AMS, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified because the information is private. That represents a 35% premium to the stock’s close in May before news broke that the two were discussing a deal.
