A woman's death is being treated as unexplained after she was found unresponsive in a car.
The incident took place on Sunnylaw Street in the Possilpark area of Glasgow at 11.15pm on Wednesday. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland said her next of kin have been informed and that officers are currently treating the death as unexplained. An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death.
The area remains cordoned off by police, reports the Daily Record. A spokesperson for the police said: "Around 11.15pm on Wednesday, 24 June, 2026, we received a report of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle on Sunnylaw Street in Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended however the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin is aware. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
