NYC ‘Classical Christian’ School Wins UWS Campus for $33 Million
Geneva School of Manhattan — an institution that describes itself as a “classical Christian school” — is acquiring the former Upper West Side home of a bankrupt private school for $33.2 million.
Bankruptcy advisers selling the building picked it as the winning bidder for Manhattan Country School’s six-floor building on West 85th Street following an auction, according to a Thursday court filing. The final offer, which must be approved by a New York bankruptcy judge, is higher than Geneva School’s earlier $20 million lead bid, which served as a floor price for the property.
