Girl, 3, found dead inside Surrey property as police launch murder probe A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder from the property in Pyrcroft Road will be taken into custody once he receives treatment for a 'serious injury' A three-year-old girl has been found dead in a property in Surrey as police have launched a murder investigation. Officers were called to an address on Pyrcroft Road in Chertsey at around 5.40pm yesterday after concerns for safety were raised. The three-year-old girl was found dead inside the property as a 31-year-old man was arrested from the address on suspicion of murder. The suspect was taken to hospital with a serious injury but will be taken into custody once he has been treated. Officers explained they believe the incident to have taken place in a family setting. A statement from Surrey Police reads: "At this stage our enquiries lead us to believe that this took place within a family setting and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. An investigation, led by Surrey Police’s Major Crime Team, is underway to establish the circumstances of the girl’s death." A significant police presence will remain in the area over the next few days. A statement from the senior investigating officer from the major crime team added: "This is a tragic incident, and our officers are working hard to build a picture of what happened. "We have made an arrest in connection with this incident and at this stage, we are not looking to identify anyone else in connection with our investigation.
