The infant boy was taken to Bundaberg Hospital before being flown to the Queensland Children's Hospital. The baby's injuries were flagged by hospital staff who reported the matter to police. The child died a week later. After a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit have now charged a 22-year-old man with domestic violence offences of murder and torture.
