England are into the Round of 32 as winners of Group L thanks to Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane goals against Panama - next up it's either Senegal or DR Congo
England have won Group L to advance to the World Cup Round of 32 by beating Panama 2-0.
After a drab, goalless first half it was Jude Bellingham who plundered England's opener, turning home from close range at a corner kick. It was a much needed goal for the Three Lions who had struggled to break down the stubborn Panamanians.
Then, minutes later, Bellingham turned provider, twisting the defender, crossing and allowing Harry Kane to head home and make it 2-0.
Elsewhere, Scotland's fate has been confirmed with Croatia's victory over Ghana condemning them to an early exit. And that has been followed by the shock news that Steve Clarke has stepped down from his role as manager.
Saturday evening's overnight games saw Colombia and Portugal battle out a goalless draw, while DR Congo booked their place in the knockout stages with a 3-1 win over Uzbekistan.
Argentina then claimed a 3-1 victory over Jordan, while Austria and Algeria earned a point each in a dramatic 3-3 stalemate in Kansas City.

ARGENTINA supporters have turned this game against Jordan into a home one for the World Cup holders. The AT&T Stadium is awash with white a blue.
There is a smattering of red shirts belonging to Jordan fans, but you have to look closely to find them. Those who bought tickets months ago will have been banking on getting to see Lionel Messi.
But he is one of nine changes Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has made. Messi might be on the bench, but he continues to be the leader and talisman of his team.
He led the squad out for the warm up, to huge cheers from his fans. And when his face appeared on the big screen, the noise levels went up a few octaves.
There is no need to panic, however. Messi will be involved in the game at some stage in the second half.
That's a brilliant free kick from former Tottenham Hotspur man Giovani Lo Celso. His deadball from the edge of the area goes straight into the top corner.
I'm not sure what the goalkeeper was doing, mind! He's expecting Lo Celso to whip it over the wall, but goes the complete wrong way.
