Services are either being cancelled, delayed or diverted while emergency services work at the scene, with disruption impacting East Midlands Railway (EMR), Avanti West Coast and CrossCountry. East Midlands Railway said on X that their services were impacted due to someone being hit by a train on the line, reports Manchester Evening News. A CrossCountry spokesperson said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Stafford and Stockport some lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted."
