It is believed the guest got off at the Caribbean island's port on Thursday, The Peoples' Tribune reported. They disembarked the ship with their family to take part in an excursion which involved snorkelling in St. Maarten's picturesque blue waters. But tragically the guest suffered a medical emergency during the activity, according to a new report. They were immediately rushed back to Port St. Maarten to get medical attention, but were pronounced dead when they arrived on shore, the outlet stated. After their death, the passenger's family decided to have their deceased loved one's body placed in the ship's morgue instead of having them flown home from the island, per the report. The nature of the medical emergency is unclear, and whether the snorkeling tour was purchased through the cruise line or an independent business remains unknown at this stage. The Mirror has contacted Royal Caribbean for comment.
