Body of boy, 15, recovered from water at Clifton Country Park after heatwave The boy got into difficulty in the water on Saturday and a body was recovered by under water search teams on Monday as people have been urged to enjoy the hot weather safely The body of a boy has been recovered from a country park in the north of Manchester. Emergency services were called to Clifton Country Park in Swindon on Saturday at 4.51pm to reports of a 15-year-old getting into difficulty in the water. A body has been located in the water today by under water search teams from the North West Under Water Search and Marine Unit. Greater Manchester Police said that, while formal identification has not yet taken place, the boy's family have been informed of the development and are being supported by specialist officers. People have now been urged to enjoy the hot weather safely, as high temperatures are due to return towards the end of the week. Detective Inspector Dave Ogden said: "Saturday’s incident is truly heart breaking, and my thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the young boy who has so tragically lost his life. While we are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances, this incident is an incredibly upsetting reminder of the serious risks associated with open water. "We understand people want to make the most of the warm weather, but we would urge everyone to stay safe and avoid entering reservoirs, rivers, canals or ponds.
