Armed police raced to a village in Kent over reports of 'people being injured and weapons being used' before three men and three women were arrested
Armed police swarmed a village in Kent and arrested multiple people following a probe into a "serious assault".
Kent Police said it received reports of "people being injured and weapons being used" at 7.36pm on Sunday on Lenham Road in Headcorn. Three men and three women were then arrested in connection with the incident.
Paramedics attended the scene and three people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Headcorn is located around nine miles from Maidstone. In a statement posted this afternoon, Kent Police said officers remain in the area to carry out enquires.
A spokesperson said: "Six people have been arrested following an investigation into a serious assault in Headcorn. Kent Police was called at 7.36pm on Sunday 28 June 2026 to Lenham Road to reports of people being injured and weapons being used.
"Patrols including armed officers attended, alongside paramedics, and three people were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"Three men and three women have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody. Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
