Permits to close Manhattan streets over the holiday weekend, along with the venue’s blocked-off schedule, have been a part of a trail of clues that have led many to believe the wedding will take place at some point this weekend.
According to the source, those who received the coveted invitations were also sent non-disclosure agreements along with the electronic invites. The details of the NDAs were not immediately clear.
Multiple performances are expected from various artists at the event, too, the source said.
The New York Times previously reported that some of Swift’s team members have been seen at Rock Lititz, a production campus in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where sets and stages for major concerts are known to be constructed, citing an entertainment industry executive.
The date of America’s version of a Royal Wedding has yet to be officially confirmed, and has left onlookers wondering if the couple will read vows in front of everyone they’ve ever met, or if the MSG gathering will serve as a reception following more private nuptials.
Swifties — Swift’s devoted and often obsessive fanbase — will respect their favorite’s right to a private event, even if it takes place at one of the most recognizable arenas in the world.
“I get the excitement, and I’m very excited to hear about all of the details after the fact,” said Jordy Cray, a Swiftie and pop culture content creator. “But I think Taylor Swift has already given us so much, she deserves her day without a flock of people coming to her.”
