One restaurant menu at the All England Club wrongly listed 250ml glasses of Piquepoul/Terret Blanc, exported from France, at a bargain price of £6.95. A patron who visited the Centenary Brasserie, which overlooks court 11 and serves premium food, including whole monkfish tail, told the Mirror: "They tried to charge us £15.95 for the wine. I told them it was listed at £6.95. "The waitress said it had been an issue all day with the menu, which also didn't even have the starters listed. They removed it off the bill after taking ages." A source at the All England Club admitted serving staff had been honouring the quoted price. Commenting on the bungle, Wimbledon's Operations Manager Michelle Dite told the Mirror: "We're all about marginal gains here, overnight to fix bits and pieces for the next day, so well spotted! Everyday there's a couple of little things. "We pride ourselves on detail, so I'm sure there are some people who have been working hard on it, based on the feedback, to correct those. We've got multiple outlets, so there's always something that people are picking up on. I'm sure it'll be fixed for today." Dite spoke out on day two of this year's Wimbledon Championships, where Brit Katie Boulter today launches her campaign against Italian Tyra Grant on Court number three. Her Australian fiance, Alex De Minaur, is set to play immediately after her on the same court. Tennis legend Serena Williams will also today return to Wimbledon to play in the ladies singles, nearly four years after retiring from the sport. British fans are hoping for an improvement on Monday's opening day, when ten Brits crashed out of the tournament and none made it through to round two. British number ones Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper also withdrew through injury before their matches even began. A glass of Pimm's at the championships costs £13.45 - £1.20 more than last year, while a new "Centre Court Cooler" cocktail is on sale at £12.80. Meanwhile, 25ml house spirits are on sale for £4.95, while 25ml "premium spirits" cost £6.15. For wine lovers, a bottle of Ultimate Provence Rose, Cotes de Provence, costs £56.50, while a magnum is on sale at £117.20. Bottles of Petit Chenin Blanc, Ken Forrester, cost £58.50, while 175ml portions of Thirsty Birds Rose are available at £10.95. Reuseable 750ml bottles of Evian are priced at £5, a 330ml bottle of Evian sparkling mineral water is £2.70, while 330ml drinks of coca-cola zero and sprite are priced at £2.90.
