NEW DELHI: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with government secretaries at Seva Teerth, where he reviewed progress on key governance priorities and discussed the importance of 'ease of doing business' and 'ease of living' and promoting 'Aatmanirbharta'.
During the interaction, the prime minister called for greater use of the PM GatiShakti platform as an effective tool for inter-departmental coordination and integrated planning. He also urged senior officials to focus on the tangible impact of government schemes on people's lives.
The discussions centred on two key themes: "deregulation and other reforms for ease of doing business and ease of living" and "promoting Aatmanirbharta".
Secretaries from various ministries and departments outlined the major initiatives being undertaken in line with these priorities.
They highlighted ongoing efforts to translate the prime minister's vision into concrete outcomes, while also discussing sector-specific challenges and strategies to improve governance and public service delivery.
Further emphasising the importance of a whole-of-government approach, PM Modi stressed the need to break departmental silos and strengthen coordination among ministries.
Highlighting the role of integrated planning and data-driven decision-making, he also encouraged wider utilisation of the PM GatiShakti platform for effective inter-departmental collaboration.
