This is such a good idea - why didn't we think of this before?
Baby names come from everywhere - books, TikTok, and beloved TV characters. But there's one unexpected place many parents overlook.
Discussing baby names on Reddit, one user suggested waiting until the end of a movie or TV series. They said: "If you’re struggling to find a baby name, watch the credits of any movie. You’ll be surprised how many interesting names you find."
Many called it a "great idea" with one saying: "I did this during my daughter’s pregnancy, many years ago LOL. It really helped." One even joked: "Also, wandering through a cemetery. Lots of neat old names!"
In another Reddit thread, someone suggested a similar approach with character names, showing it's a pretty clever way if you're having baby-name brain fog. They wrote: "If you can’t think of names for your characters, just go to the credits of any movie.
"There you’ll find a list of at least 500 real people and their names for you to choose from. I appreciate this doesn’t work for the fantasy or sci-fi genres, but I think it would help people to choose names for their characters."
