If you're bored of nights in the pub, then this could be a fun alternative and an activity to remember. Best of all, kids aren't invited, so you can let your inner child free for the night without the long queues. Slick City Action Park opened in the UK just a couple of months ago, following the success of its USA operations, which grew to 150 branches. It's now Europe's only indoor slide park and a must-visit for thrill-seekers or anyone who just misses the simple childhood joy of a day at the playground. Set in Lenton near Nottingham, the 50,000 square foot park has twisting slides with high-speed drops, tube slides, and slides that drop onto giant airbags for a soft landing. You can enjoy the Royal Flush, which ends with a swirling bowl, or the Air Glider, a sky ride that makes you feel like you're flying. There's a four-lane slide so you can race your friends to the bottom, and a super-steep mega launch for those who like slides that get the adrenaline going. In addition to slides, there are air courts, a bouncy spot where you can try out some parkour moves, and interactive games such as CitySquares, an interactive light-up floor, and Reaction Walls, where you can challenge your friends to beat your score. Adult-only sessions will be 120 minutes long and will launch on the first Friday of every month. Currently, sessions of this length cost from £21.85 to £24.95, but there's no word whether the adult-only sessions will be priced differently. Slick City also offers accessible sessions for people aged over four who need a calmer environment. Its sensory hours include smaller crowds, lowered music, and a more relaxed atmosphere. Slick City isn't the first place to take an activity usually associated with children and turn it into an adults-only activity. Bar and party venue DJW Events offers adult soft play in its bar and party venue. Offering a three-story soft play frame, it has places where grown-ups can climb and slide or jump into a ball pit without a child in sight. The London venue's motto is 'never grow up', and it offers a colourful décor, giant board games and arcade machines that wouldn't look out of place at a child's party. But it also serves beer, wine, and classic cocktails, making it more of a grown-up night out.
