Donald Trump shares bizarre AI doctor video offering 'treatment' for critics Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg are just some of the 'patients' sharing how Trump's medical advice helped them in the bizarre clip Donald Trump has posted an AI-generated video showing himself as a doctor offering a "treatment plan" for TDS – Trump Derangement Syndrome. The bizarre video, which is 90 seconds long, portrays celebrities who have previously criticised the US president as his TDS patients, including Robert De Niro and Julia Roberts. The clip, which was posted seven minutes before midnight local time [4.53am BST] on Wednesday starts with Trump saying: "Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS? "The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I'm Dr Trump and I have a treatment plan. Let's hear what some of my patients have to say." Rosie O'Donnell is the first patient, saying she has been suffering "for over a decade" but can now see some results "after listening to Dr Trump". The TV host moved to Ireland in 2024 after Trump won his second term as president of the United States of America and has been involved in a feud with him for the past two decades. At the beginning of June, speaking at the Tony Awards in New York, she said: "If you grew up in New York, you knew he was an a**hole and a liar from day one. [...] He is a conman. He is a narcissist. And he is a psychopath if you ask me." An AI-generated Whoopi Goldberg also says she thought she "was a lost cause" and that she believed TDS was going to affect her for the rest of her life". Trump then says: "I really wasn't sure I could help some of these people. They were so far gone, I wasn't really sure." Robert De Niro is one of the last "patients" to feature, saying he "couldn't eat, couldn't sleep and was constantly angry." His AI lookalike says: "I made everyone miserable around me." Recently, De Niro spoke at "Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the first amendment", a benefit event held in New York in June. He told the crowd: "I can’t love a country that’s led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant. And let me just say it: I can’t love the country that’s led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress." The final celebrity featured in the clip is Julia Roberts, who says: "I feel like I've aged 20 years in the last two years. I've been so concerned, I was really starting to worry about my future." Trump then concludes the video: "The treatment is simple. Turn off fake news. Say your prayers and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you're going to see a remarkable difference in your life." TDS originated from psychiatrist and conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, who coined the "Bush Derangement Syndrome" phrase in 2003. The phrase was defined as an "acute onset paranoia in otherwise normal people" reacting to George W. Bush's presidency. It was then adapted during Trump's 2016 campaign.
