A Delaware judge said JPMorgan Chase & Co. failed to show that Charlie Javice‘s $74 million in legal fees were clearly excessive, ruling the bank must continue to pay her bills.
Magistrate Christian Wright on Thursday said the bank wrongly refused payment in violation of a previous court order requiring it to cover her defense costs, ordering payment with interest. Reading his ruling from the bench, Wright rejected challenges to about $10 million in fees and expenses, including $64 for gummy bears.
