I live next to a Premier League stadium - one team's fans DM me all the time The 26 year old says people are always messaging her A woman whose apartment overlooks a Premier League stadium says men want to date her to get a closer look at the football. Noemi Oberhauser is one of the lucky few living in an apartment overlooking Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium. Despite having a view of the pitch most fans can only dream of, 26-year-old Noemi says it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. That's because penny-pinching fans have become embroiled in her love life just for the view. The Londoner said: “I've had guys before where I could clearly tell they only wanted to go out with me so they could see the apartment. I think I’ve had one or two people ghost me after seeing the pitch, which is quite funny in hindsight. “That's also become kind of a red flag for me. If someone's mentioning the apartment in the first few texts that‘s a no for me.” Arsenal fans flood her DMs whenever the team plays at Brentford. She said: “I get plenty of messages off people asking if they could come by to watch the match. “Some offer to bring snacks and turn it into a cute date and sometimes people even offer to pay me money so they can watch the match from my house. “Especially from fans from big teams, for example Arsenal, I get quite a few messages because it's sometimes hard for them to get tickets for the away matches at Brentford.” Football lovers first got word of the view in 2024, when Noemi shared some videos from her apartment online that went viral. The £1,200-a-month property has since given her thousands of social media followers, with the majority of people having a positive reaction. Noemi said: “I did have quite a few people message me about dates when they first saw the videos. However, I rarely reply to Instagram DMs. I also don’t think I‘d like that to be the way a date would start. I’m pretty old school when it comes to these things. “I did date people in the past who told me after a while that they had seen my videos before, I didn’t really care too much though. I think normally I’m pretty good at telling who is genuine and who is just trying to use me for my apartment or views.” It’s not just football fans who are interested in the view, as some influencers have asked Noemi if they could film content in her home. When they later “pretended it was their apartment”, she learnt to be more wary even of her professional relationships. Despite the run-ins, singer Noemi’s unexpected life lessons from her apartment have had some equally unexpected benefits. She said: “The upside is that my dating disasters tend to make for my best songs, so I can’t complain too much. A few of those tracks are actually coming out later this year.”
