Jude Bellingham has told England fans to have the day off work and school to celebrate the famous World Cup win against Mexico.
The Real Madrid midfielder, 23, scored twice as the Three Lions edged the North American side 3-2 in a breathless encounter at the iconic Azteca Stadium.
Following a one-hour weather delay due to thunderstorms, the game didn't get started until 2am in the UK, though pubs were open until 5am after a special license was granted.
Fans across the nation still stayed up into the early hours of Monday morning to take in a historic win and Bellingham has urged supporters to make the most of the occasion - and NOT turn up to work.
When asked post-match to send the England faithful message, he said: "Have another shot and text your bosses to say you're not coming in tomorrow. That's about it. My god, if you can't enjoy a night like this, just for one night, then I don't know what it's worth."
He added: "I can imagine (celebrations in England are) carnage. No matter where you're from or what you do I can imagine everyone is together.
"That is the thing I dream of, being a part of this England squad, bringing my country together, giving them nights like this that they will enjoy for many years to come. I am so proud of this team. What we have done tonight is spectacular."
England are now set to face Norway in the World Cup quarter-final in Miami on Saturday evening. Stale Solbakken's side progressed through to the last eight after Erling Haaland's brace earned a shock 2-1 win against Brazil.
But Bellingham is keeping his feet on the ground and believes England need to be "ready" to face a Norway side littered with world-class talent, including Haaland and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.
"It is still one game at a time," Bellingham, who now has five World Cup goals, finished. "At the end of the day it is just a round of 16 win. The quarter-final Norway pose a different threat, some that we know really well, some world-class players in there, so we will have to be ready."
