Man 'stabbed in the face' during brutal city centre knife attack A cordon is currently in place by a nightclub in the city centre after a man was allegedly slashed in the face A man has been rushed to hospital after he was found with apparent 'stab wounds' to his face in a busy city centre. Emergency services swarmed Belvoir Street, near Harvey's nightclub in Leicester, to reports of a stabbing in the early hours of Sunday (July 12). The victim was found with serious facial injuries and was rushed to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance. The man, in his 40s, is currently in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, reports Leicestershire Live. Police say it is carrying out enquiries at the scene with a cordon currently in place outside the nightclub. Detective Sergeant Pala said the city centre was a very busy area at the time of the incident. She said: "We are appealing to anyone with any information, who has not yet spoken to police, to please make contact." DS Pala added: "Our enquiries are very much progressing as we continue to establish the full circumstances of what has happened and officers do remain in the area.
